The Opportunity
As part of our SDET team, you'll be at the forefront of testing all products and technologies developed by our enterprise application engineering teams. Our team possesses comprehensive knowledge of enterprise application services, products, and technologies, focusing on real-world, end-to-end testing scenarios that ensure seamless integration across Akamai's systems. You'll work on cutting-edge automated testing infrastructure and implement systematic test case tracking methodologies to drive efficiency and excellence in our SDET processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with management and architects to shape comprehensive test strategies that align with business objectives and drive organizational success
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and developers to create detailed test plans and test cases for new requirements, change requests, and projects
- Drive and effectively execute the team's roadmap by dissecting high-level requirements into quantifiable test plans and providing accurate estimates and timelines
- Design, develop, and execute test suites for diverse testing types including database testing, API validation, integration testing, and performance analysis with complete traceability
- Design and execute integration testing across multiple platforms and applications using advanced techniques such as Python automation, batch processing, and shell scripting
- Investigate and resolve issues through comprehensive log analysis, root-cause debugging, and quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain sophisticated automated testing solutions that uphold stringent software quality standards
- Focus on continuously improving testing frameworks, identifying defects early in the development cycle, and enhancing overall system reliability
- Support the delivery of scalable, efficient, and high-quality software that meets both organizational standards and user needs
- Report to the SDET Team Lead/Manager with regular updates on test progress, quality metrics, and identified issues
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a B.Tech or MCA degree (or equivalent) with 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance. You should demonstrate strong expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, QA methodologies, and best practices.
We're looking for someone with practical experience testing cloud-based ERP/CRM platforms such as Oracle HCM, Oracle Financials, or Salesforce through functional, API, and integration validation approaches. Your technical toolkit should include the ability to develop and analyze advanced SQL queries, along with hands-on experience using test management tools like JIRA or ALM.
A core requirement is demonstrated expertise in creating and enhancing automated testing frameworks using Python. You should be comfortable investigating issues through log analysis, root-cause debugging, and implementing quality improvements. Proficiency with Jenkins, Git, and Unix/Linux commands is essential for success in this role.
