About the Role
The Finance team keeps Revolut moving with clarity and confidence. From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long-term plans and plays a key role in how we scale globally.
We're looking for an exceptional Head of Finance who will build and lead a local finance team in Switzerland. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll oversee an array of financial aspects, from strategy and control to reporting and regulator management. As a senior leader, you'll be instrumental in shaping Revolut's financial operations in one of Europe's most important financial centers.

What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Leadership
As a key member of the leadership team, you'll oversee all financial aspects in Switzerland, serving as the primary financial voice in strategic discussions. Your insights will directly influence business decisions, expansion strategies, and resource allocation. You'll partner with the executive team to set financial targets, evaluate investment opportunities, and ensure the business maintains sustainable growth trajectories.
Financial Operations Management
Leading management accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, and balance sheet management will be core to your role. You'll ensure that all financial processes operate with precision and efficiency, delivering accurate, timely information to stakeholders at all levels. Your oversight of the balance sheet will ensure optimal capital structure and financial stability as we scale operations in Switzerland.
Strategic Advisory
Providing strategic advice and operational management information to support rapid expansion is crucial. You'll translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive decision-making. Whether evaluating new market entries, assessing product launches, or optimizing operational efficiency, your financial expertise will guide the organization toward sustainable, profitable growth.
Performance Communication
Understanding and communicating financial performance, risks, and management to leadership and the Board requires exceptional analytical and presentation skills. You'll prepare board materials, deliver executive presentations, and ensure that financial performance is clearly understood across all organizational levels. Your ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear narratives will be essential.
Process Enhancement
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process is an ongoing responsibility. You'll continuously evaluate current processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement automation and best practices that increase financial performance. Your improvements will create scalability as the business grows.
Compliance and Regulatory Management
Assuming responsibility for taxation and regulatory reporting requirements locally ensures we maintain full compliance with Swiss regulations. You'll manage relationships with tax authorities, ensure timely filing of all required reports, and stay ahead of regulatory changes that could impact operations. Your expertise in Swiss financial regulations will be critical to our success.
Risk Management
Performing risk management by overseeing liabilities and investments, deciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks as well as capital structure is vital. You'll develop sophisticated risk management frameworks that protect the business while enabling growth. Your strategic approach to capital allocation will optimize returns while maintaining appropriate risk levels.
Cash Flow Optimization
Ensuring cash flow is appropriate to support operations requires sophisticated forecasting and management. You'll maintain visibility into cash positions across all accounts, forecast future needs, and ensure adequate liquidity for operations and growth initiatives. Your cash management strategies will enable the business to move quickly when opportunities arise.
Audit Leadership
Leading the external audit programme according to group and local requirements ensures we maintain the highest standards of financial reporting. You'll manage relationships with external auditors, coordinate audit activities, and ensure clean audit opinions. Your preparation and responsiveness will make audits efficient and value-adding.
Technical Accounting Expertise
Advising on technical accounting and financial implications related to new product development puts you at the forefront of innovation. As Revolut develops new financial products, you'll evaluate accounting implications, ensure proper treatment under IFRS and Swiss GAAP, and guide product teams on financial considerations. Your technical expertise will enable compliant, sustainable product launches.
What You'll Need
Educational Foundation
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, economics, or business administration provides the foundation for this role. Advanced degrees are valued and demonstrate commitment to professional development.
Extensive Experience
10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including financial analysis or financial control functions, is essential. This experience should include progressive responsibility, demonstrating your growth from technical roles to leadership positions. You should have managed complex financial operations and led diverse teams.
Industry Expertise
Experience in financial services or banking is required. You must understand the unique challenges of financial services operations, including regulatory requirements, capital management, and risk frameworks. Your industry knowledge will allow you to navigate the complex landscape of fintech operations.
Team Building Excellence
Experience building teams within a fast-growing organization demonstrates your ability to scale operations. You should have hired, developed, and retained high-performing finance professionals. Your leadership should inspire excellence and create a culture of continuous improvement.

A structured and logical approach to problem-solving is essential. You should be able to break down complex issues, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions. Your analytical rigor combined with pragmatic execution will drive results.

Nice to Have
Leadership Experience
Experience in a similar role (finance and strategy, etc.) in a fast-growing fintech or tech scale-up would be highly valuable. If you've successfully scaled finance operations in high-growth environments, you'll hit the ground running.
Professional Qualifications
A chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, etc.), CFA, and/or MBA demonstrates technical excellence and strategic thinking. These qualifications signal your commitment to professional standards and continuous learning.
Product Expertise
Industry expertise in banking/credit products, card payments, wealth and trading, crypto, insurance, etc., allows you to understand the nuances of different product lines. This knowledge enhances your ability to provide strategic guidance on product initiatives.
Commercial Experience
Experience in marketing or B2B sales provides valuable perspective on business development and revenue generation. Understanding how commercial teams operate enhances your ability to support growth initiatives and evaluate ROI.
