About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payments Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. In this critical role, you'll investigate breaches, confirm trades, and oversee payments that keep our financial operations running smoothly. You'll be at the heart of our treasury operations, ensuring that every transaction is processed accurately, every reconciliation break is investigated thoroughly, and every payment settles on time.

What You'll Be Doing
Treasury Settlement Operations
Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the timely settlement of treasury transactions and conducting thorough investigations of reconciliation breaks. This critical function ensures that all financial movements are tracked accurately and any discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly. You'll work with various payment rails and settlement systems, developing deep expertise in how money moves across borders and between accounts.
You'll become the go-to expert for settlement issues, working closely with our Settlements team to identify root causes of breaks, implement corrective measures, and prevent future occurrences. Your attention to detail and analytical mindset will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations.
Product Launch Support
As Revolut continues to innovate and launch new products, you'll play a vital role in building funding models for these launches. This involves analyzing liquidity requirements, forecasting cash flows, and ensuring that adequate funding structures are in place to support new offerings. You'll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into financial models.
Your ability to think strategically about funding will help shape how we bring new products to market, ensuring they're financially viable and properly capitalized from day one. This is your chance to directly impact the products that millions of customers will use.
Liquidity Management
Managing liquidity across accounts to meet funding requirements for client activity is a core responsibility of this role. This includes traditional currency management as well as cryptocurrency liquidity management. You'll need to maintain optimal liquidity levels across multiple accounts and currencies, ensuring that client activities — from payments to investments to crypto transactions — are never hindered by insufficient funding.
This requires constant monitoring of account balances, anticipating funding needs based on customer activity patterns, and coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth fund flows. You'll develop sophisticated models to predict liquidity needs and optimize cash positioning across the organization.
Trade Processing and Execution
You'll ensure trades are booked, processed, and executed correctly by our Settlements team. This involves verifying trade details, confirming that all necessary documentation is in place, and monitoring the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement. Your understanding of different investment products — from derivatives to securities — will be crucial in ensuring accurate processing.
You'll work closely with trading desks, operations teams, and external counterparties to resolve any issues that arise during the settlement process. Your expertise will help minimize settlement failures and ensure our clients' trades settle smoothly and on time.
Process Improvement and Innovation
Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll have opportunities to design and implement new internal processes that improve efficiency and reduce risk. What You'll Need
Essential Experience
We're looking for candidates with at least 1+ years of experience as a Settlements Analyst, Treasury Analyst, or in a similar role within financial services. This experience should have given you exposure to the complexities of financial settlements, trade processing, and treasury operations. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments where accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
Technical Aptitude
Technological curiosity and the will to learn new skills are essential for success in this role. While we don't expect you to be a programmer, you should be comfortable working with data and willing to learn tools like SQL to extract insights and automate processes. Payments Expertise
An excellent understanding of payments settlement processes is crucial. You should have working knowledge of various payment methods, including SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), and instant payment systems. Understanding how these different payment rails work, their settlement timelines, and their specific requirements will allow you to navigate complex payment scenarios effectively.
Trade Lifecycle Knowledge
Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and how to settle different kinds of investment products is essential. This includes understanding how derivatives are settled, how securities move through clearing and settlement systems, and the specific requirements for different asset classes. You should be familiar with concepts like T+2 settlement, corporate actions, and the role of custodians and clearing houses in the settlement process.
Nice to Have
Advanced Settlement Knowledge
While not required, knowledge of how to settle different kinds of products from derivatives to equities would be highly valued. If you have experience with options, futures, swaps, or other complex derivatives, you'll find many opportunities to apply that knowledge at Revolut.
Margin Management
An understanding of margin management — including initial margin, variation margin, and margin calls — would be beneficial. As we continue to expand our trading and investment offerings, expertise in margin operations becomes increasingly valuable.
Process Design Skills
Expertise in designing new internal processes is highly desirable. If you have experience mapping out workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improved processes, you'll have opportunities to make significant impacts on how we operate. Compensation Range
We believe in transparent and competitive compensation that reflects the value you bring to our team:
- Krakow: PLN 13,200 - PLN 14,600 gross monthly
- Poland (Other locations): PLN 13,200 - PLN 14,600 gross monthly
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience. We ensure that our compensation packages are competitive with market rates and reflective of the responsibilities of the role.
