In this pivotal role, you will lead the functional design, configuration, and seamless integration of Oracle Fusion Inventory Management and Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud (WMS) as part of a comprehensive enterprise-wide implementation initiative. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our end-to-end inventory processes, ensuring operational excellence across all touchpoints from receiving to shipping.
About the Role
As our Oracle Cloud Inventory Functional Consultant, you will be at the forefront of transforming how we manage inventory across our enterprise ecosystem. This position focuses on sophisticated inventory processes including lot and serial control, comprehensive attribute management, receiving and shipping transactions, and critical EDI integrations with third-party logistics (3PL) customers and logistics partners.
You will serve as the subject matter expert, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. Your deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Inventory combined with WMS knowledge will enable you to design solutions that enhance traceability, improve accuracy, and streamline warehouse operations across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Functional Design and Implementation
You will lead the functional design and configuration of Oracle Fusion Inventory Management, establishing the foundational framework for our inventory operations. This includes defining inventory organizations, creating sub-inventory structures, configuring locators, and establishing material statuses that align with our business processes and compliance requirements.
Inventory Accounting Integration
A critical aspect of your role involves supporting inventory accounting integration with Oracle Cost Management, ensuring accurate financial representation of inventory transactions and maintaining data integrity across finance and operations modules.
Lot Control and Traceability
You will design and implement comprehensive lot control systems including lot attributes such as manufacturing dates, expiry dates, country of origin, and other critical identifiers. Establishing lot genealogy and ensuring complete lot traceability across receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and returns processes will be essential to maintaining product quality and regulatory compliance.
Serial Number Management
You will architect and implement serial-controlled inventory solutions, managing serial references and child serial numbers with precision. A key responsibility is ensuring lot and serial integrity between Oracle Fusion and Oracle WMS, maintaining data consistency across all systems.
EDI Integration Leadership
You will design and support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations with 3PL providers and customers, handling multiple transaction sets including EDI 940 (Warehouse Shipping Order), EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice), EDI 943/944 (Warehouse Stock Transfer documents), EDI 856 (Advance Ship Notice), and EDI 214 (Transportation Carrier Shipment Status). Your expertise will ensure accurate mapping, robust validation, and effective error handling for all inbound and outbound messages.
Data Migration and Validation
You will oversee and assist with data migration activities, ensuring accurate transfer and validation of items, lots, serials, and on-hand balances from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud, minimizing disruption to business operations.
Required Qualifications
Experience and Expertise
We are looking for candidates with more than five years of hands-on experience in implementing Oracle Cloud Inventory solutions. You must demonstrate strong functional experience and proven expertise in Oracle Cloud Inventory with direct exposure to integration with Warehouse Management Systems.
Technical Proficiency
Experience working with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or similar middleware platforms is essential. You should possess proficiency in Oracle Order Management configuration and comprehensive understanding of system functionality, including how different modules interact within the Oracle ecosystem.
Business Analysis Skills
Your ability to conduct effective workshops, document detailed business requirements, and validate current-state processes will be crucial. You must excel at translating business needs into technical specifications and system configurations.
Documentation Excellence
Attention to detail and the ability to prepare meticulous design documents for integrations, custom reports, and system configurations is required. Your documentation will serve as the blueprint for implementation and future system maintenance.
