Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru team, working on transformative projects for Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT). With 36 facilities worldwide, BPT represents the largest network of bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories, providing comprehensive services for the world's leading pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies.
In this role, you'll work behind the scenes with global engineering teams developing next-generation applications and sophisticated Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). These advanced computer programs empower our scientists, engineers, and technicians to document research, experiments, and procedures across our international laboratory network.
This position reports directly to a Manager and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on global healthcare and pharmaceutical safety.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Microsoft's technology stack. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the exacting standards of the pharmaceutical industry. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable, efficient, and robust systems that support critical laboratory operations worldwide.
Required Experience & Technical Skills
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience developing end-to-end web applications using Microsoft stack technologies
- Strong working knowledge of web application development using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and Dapper
- Strong proficiency in Angular 15 or above, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3
- Solid working knowledge of MSSQL and SQL database technologies
- Proven experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and GIT version control systems
- Good understanding of Azure development; experience with Azure Components is highly valued
- Familiarity with Azure App Services is advantageous
- Experience with UI testing and Unit Testing frameworks (MS Test, Jasmine, MOQ, NUnit, Karma, etc.)
- Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Strong command of SOLID principles and design patterns, including Creational, Structural, and Behavioral patterns
- Extensive experience designing and implementing n-tier architectures
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical recommendations and solve complex technical challenges
- Working knowledge of code review processes, including raising code reviews, resolving review comments, and closing reviews
- Awareness of best practices in both front-end and back-end programming
- Skills in troubleshooting performance-related issues, writing efficient code and queries, and utilizing SQL profiler
- Experience working on at least one Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) project
- Prior experience working in AGILE methodology, preferably SCRUM
Desirable Experience
- Advanced skills in front-end development technologies, particularly Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Strong orientation toward writing clean, performant code while applying design principles, SOLID principles, and OOP concepts with Microsoft technologies

Performance Management
Eurofins maintains a robust focus on Performance Management systems. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews, and comprehensive annual reviews. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be established and may vary slightly between projects. These metrics will be clearly communicated and documented during the first 30 days of your employment, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
