The Design Challenge: Complexity Made Simple
Here's what makes designing for JustCall uniquely challenging and rewarding: we serve businesses that deal with incredibly complex workflows every single day. These aren't simple consumer apps where users follow a single happy path. Our users are sales teams orchestrating multi-touch campaigns, support teams managing thousands of customer interactions simultaneously, and operations leaders configuring systems that need to work across departments, time zones, and use cases.
We believe great design is not about creating fixed, rigid screens that everyone must use the same way. Great design is about creating flexible, adaptable experiences that empower users to work the way they want to work. It's about building systems that are intuitive enough for a new user to onboard quickly, yet powerful enough for advanced users to customize deeply.
This is where you come in.
Who You Are: The Designer We're Looking For
We're searching for a Sr. Product Designer who doesn't just tolerate complexity—you thrive in it. You understand the B2B space intimately. You know that complexity is not the enemy; bad design that doesn't respect user intelligence is the enemy. You get energized by the challenge of taking multi-step, business-critical workflows and making them feel effortless.
This role is about empowerment through design. You'll be giving users the ability to shape, configure, and evolve their own workflows and frameworks on the fly. You're not just designing screens; you're designing systems that users can make their own—systems that grow and adapt as their business needs evolve.
You'll partner closely with product managers and engineering teams to design experiences that strike the perfect balance: intuitive yet flexible, structured yet adaptable, powerful yet approachable. You understand that the best B2B products don't force users into a single way of working—they provide frameworks that users can bend to their will.
What You'll Do: Your Core Responsibilities
Lead End-to-End Product Design Process
You'll own the complete design lifecycle from initial research through ideation, prototyping, testing, and continuous iteration. This isn't a hand-off culture—you'll see your designs through to launch and beyond, constantly refining based on real user feedback and behavioral data.
Transform Complex Workflows Into Intuitive Experiences
You'll take business-heavy, multi-step workflows that often involve dozens of decision points and translate them into modular, intuitive experiences. You'll break down complexity into digestible components that users can understand quickly and master over time.
Design Flexible, Configurable Frameworks
This is where the role gets exciting. You'll design interaction models and frameworks that don't just work one way—they allow users to create, modify, and personalize workflows based on their unique requirements. Think workflow builders, custom automation designers, and configurable dashboards that adapt to different roles and use cases.
Conduct Deep, Meaningful User Research
You won't be designing in a vacuum. You'll conduct comprehensive user research including one-on-one interviews, detailed journey mapping, and rigorous usability studies. You'll uncover not just what users say they need, but what they actually need—the unspoken pain points and opportunities that only deep research can reveal.
Collaborate Across Product and Engineering
Great design happens in partnership. You'll work hand-in-hand with Product Managers to define scope, understand business objectives, and prioritize features. You'll collaborate daily with engineers to ensure your designs are technically feasible, discussing trade-offs and finding creative solutions when constraints emerge.
Build and Scale Design Systems
You'll be instrumental in building and evolving our design system—not just as a collection of components, but as a living system that supports rapid product evolution while maintaining consistency. You'll create patterns, document guidelines, and ensure that every designer and engineer can leverage the system effectively.
Champion User-Centric Design Thinking
You'll be an advocate and educator. You'll champion user-centric design across the entire company, ensuring that every product decision—from initial strategy to final implementation—is grounded in real user outcomes, not assumptions or gut feelings.
What You Bring: Required Skills and Experience
Proven B2B Design Expertise
You bring substantial experience designing for B2B audiences—solving problems for global customers with products that are intuitive, quick to adopt, and deliver value fast. You understand that B2B users are professionals who expect sophistication, not simplification for its own sake.
Portfolio That Tells Stories
You have a strong portfolio packed with detailed case studies that demonstrate how you've solved real user problems. We want to see your thinking process, your research methodology, how you handled constraints, and especially examples of configurable or flexible workflows you've designed.
Mastery of Complexity
You have a proven ability to turn complex, multi-layered requirements into modular experiences that users can adapt themselves. You know how to design for power users and novices simultaneously. You've designed admin panels, workflow builders, automation tools, or configuration interfaces before.
End-to-End Design Skills
You're expert-level across the full spectrum: user research methodologies, rapid prototyping, usability testing protocols, and iterative design practices. You know when to use which research method and how to extract actionable insights from data.
Technical Tool Proficiency
You're highly proficient with modern design tools, particularly Figma or equivalent platforms. You know how to use components, variants, and auto-layout to create scalable, maintainable design files. You can prototype interactions that feel real enough to test meaningfully.
Communication Excellence
You can articulate your design rationale clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences—from engineers who need implementation details to executives who care about business impact. You know how to present, defend, and iterate on your work based on feedback.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, we'd love if you have experience designing workflow automation tools, AI-driven features, productivity platforms, or other products where users need high configurability and control.
Why This Role Matters: The Impact You'll Create
Let's be clear about something: this isn't about designing products that just "look good." This is about designing products that fundamentally change how businesses operate.
When you design a workflow system that saves sales teams 10 hours a week, that's real impact. When you create an interface that helps support agents resolve issues 30% faster, that changes lives—both for the agents and the customers they serve. When you build flexible frameworks that scale across industries and use cases, you're creating leverage that compounds across thousands of businesses.
You'll be designing for scale. Your work will touch millions of users across continents, industries, and use cases you might never have imagined.
