Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed earnings, valuation, and industrial models specifically for the BFSI Sector.
- Proactively analyze data and market intelligence to identify emerging investment opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Generate actionable investment ideas. A primary focus is helping the team create alpha by providing timely and well-researched buy/sell recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and constant coverage of industry-related news, regulatory changes, and developments. Disseminate your insight to the investment team on a timely basis.
- Devise and execute primary research methods, staying constantly abreast of trends and investor sentiment within your covered sectors and broader markets.
- Be an executioner, a collaborative team player, and a high-performing self-starter.
Expertise and Qualification Requirements
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in equity research, preferably covering the BFSI space.
- Demonstrable, in-depth understanding of fundamental analysis, financial modeling, and complex valuation methodologies.
- CA/FRM/CFA/MBA is a significant plus and will be highly regarded.
