The Opportunity: Join Our Finance Business Unit
We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our dynamic Finance Business Unit, which comprises 350 dedicated professionals—experts like yourself—who work across the entire front-to-back chain on consulting and business MOA (Maîtrise d'Ouvrage) missions. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that bridges the gap between business strategy and technical execution in the fast-paced world of finance.
As part of our Transverse community within the Finance Department, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the banking profession with IT development teams. We're looking for someone who possesses not only deep knowledge of the banking field—whether in retail banking, corporate banking, or investment banking—but also a comprehensive understanding of information systems, including methodologies, regulations, software packages, processes, and IS architecture.
Your Mission and Responsibilities
In this multifaceted role, you will wear many hats, each offering unique challenges and opportunities for professional growth:
Core MOA Functions
Depending on your specific profile and project requirements, you will assume the role of MOA, which includes collecting and analyzing business needs, writing functional specifications, and ensuring that solutions align with business objectives. However, your responsibilities will extend far beyond traditional MOA tasks. You will be expected to challenge user needs critically, determine priorities strategically, and maintain a proactive stance in driving projects forward.
High-Value Consulting Activities
You will engage in missions with significant consulting value, such as conducting in-depth process analysis and mapping exercises, providing comprehensive project support that accounts for multiple organizational and technical changes, and contributing to team skills development initiatives. Your role will require you to think strategically about how to optimize operations while considering the human element of change.
Strategic Integration
A key aspect of your position involves integrating strategic decisions into operational processes and information systems. You will participate actively in projects that implement and adapt solutions, organize and initiate new processes, update existing workflows, and integrate software packages seamlessly into the broader IT ecosystem.
Specific Deliverables and Achievements
Your day-to-day work will encompass a variety of activities:
-
Preliminary Studies and Feasibility Analyses: You will conduct thorough assessments to determine project viability, identifying potential risks and opportunities before major investments are made.
-
Project Framing and Documentation: You will be responsible for drafting clear expressions of needs and obtaining necessary approvals from banking stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned from the outset.
-
Solution Selection: You will assist in choosing optimal solutions, evaluating both internal capabilities and external vendors to identify the best fit for each unique challenge.
-
Strategic Planning: You will contribute to IS master plans, create functional mappings, and formalize processes that serve as blueprints for implementation.
-
Project Coordination: You will oversee project planning and coordination efforts, ensuring timelines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
-
Change Management: Perhaps most importantly, you will lead change management initiatives and provide ongoing user support, recognizing that technology is only as effective as the people who use it.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking professionals who meet the following qualifications:
Education: You hold a Bac+5 degree (Master's level) in Finance or Information Technology, providing you with a strong theoretical foundation to complement your practical experience.
Experience: You bring at least three years of experience working within a bank—whether retail, corporate, or investment banking—or another financial organization. This experience has given you firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities unique to the financial services industry.
Technical Skills: While not mandatory, mastery of the following technical environments will set you apart: Power BI for data visualization, VBA/Excel for automation and analysis, SQL for database management, Access for data handling, and the complete MS Office suite for documentation and presentation.
Language Skills: English proficiency is desired, as you may work on international projects or collaborate with colleagues across our global network.
Personal Attributes: We value integrity, rigor, and dynamism. You have already demonstrated strong organizational and adaptation skills in previous roles. Your flexibility, creativity, and sense of initiative, combined with a genuine team spirit, will be essential assets in this position.
