About BondScanner
BondScanner is India's next-generation fixed-income investing platform, built under a SEBI-regulated Online Bond Platform Provider (OBPP) licence and operated by Sustvest Broking Private Limited (NSE Member Code: 90404).
We're on a mission to democratize bond investing in India. For too long, fixed-income products have remained inaccessible to everyday investors, locked behind institutional barriers and complex processes. We're changing that by making high-quality bonds accessible, transparent, and easy to understand for retail investors across the country.
Our vision is clear: bring bonds to the forefront of personal investing by combining regulatory trust, deep credit expertise, and a clean, intuitive product experience that rivals the best consumer fintech platforms globally.
We are at an exciting inflection point. Our platform is beta live on web, we're onboarding early users, refining the product based on real-world feedback, and building a lean, high-performing team to scale BondScanner into India's most trusted bond discovery and investing platform.
If you want to work at the intersection of fintech, product innovation, capital markets, and regulatory compliance, this is your opportunity to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
About the Role
We're looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager (TPM) to serve as the operational backbone of our engineering and product organization. This is not a typical TPM role. You'll be joining at a critical growth phase where structure, discipline, and execution excellence will directly determine our ability to scale.
As our TPM, you will own the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, product, design, QA, compliance, and business operations. You'll be the person who translates ambitious product roadmaps into structured execution plans, removes blockers before they become issues, and ensures every release meets our high standards for quality and reliability.
This role sits at the strategic center of our organization. You'll work directly with the founding team, engineering leads, and product managers to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, manage timelines, and drive accountability. You'll bring clarity to complexity, establish repeatable processes, and build the operational muscle that enables us to move fast without breaking things.
If you're energized by the challenge of bringing order to chaos, building execution discipline in a fast-moving startup, and being a force multiplier for technical teams, you'll thrive in this role.
What You'll Be Doing
Program & Project Management
You'll own the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all major engineering and product initiatives. This means breaking down complex, ambiguous requirements into structured project plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and success criteria. You'll create and maintain product roadmaps, manage sprint cycles, run standups and retrospectives, and ensure teams have the clarity they need to execute with confidence. You'll be the person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
BondScanner operates at the intersection of technology, finance, and regulation. You'll work closely with engineering, product, design, QA, compliance, legal, and business teams to ensure perfect alignment. You'll facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translate business requirements into engineering tasks, coordinate releases across multiple systems, and drive accountability for deliverables. You'll be the glue that holds cross-functional initiatives together.
Execution & Delivery Excellence
You'll be obsessed with predictable, high-quality delivery. This means proactively identifying bottlenecks before they impact timelines, tracking progress across multiple parallel workstreams, communicating status clearly and frequently, managing risks and dependencies, and coordinating resource allocation. You'll ensure that every sprint delivers meaningful value and that our release cycles run smoothly and reliably.
Process & Quality Improvement
As we scale, repeatable processes become critical. You'll establish and continuously improve our engineering workflows, documentation standards, quality assurance practices, and collaboration structures. You'll implement best practices for sprint planning, backlog management, technical debt tracking, incident response, and post-mortem analysis. You'll build the operational foundation that allows us to scale our team and our platform without sacrificing quality or velocity.
Risk Management & Strategic Planning
In a regulated fintech environment, compliance and security are non-negotiable. You'll work closely with our compliance team to ensure regulatory requirements are factored into timelines, manage technical dependencies with external partners and market infrastructure, coordinate security reviews and audits, and ensure our release processes meet the rigorous standards required in financial services.
What We Look For in You
Required Experience & Skills
You bring 3–7 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager in a technology-driven, product-led organization. You've managed complex, multi-team initiatives from conception to delivery and have a proven track record of shipping high-quality products on time.
You have a strong technical foundation. You don't need to write code daily, but you understand modern software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, CI/CD pipelines, and the engineering trade-offs teams face. You can have informed technical conversations with engineers and understand when something is genuinely complex versus when it's being overcomplicated.
You're an execution machine. You excel at breaking down ambiguous problems into clear action items, creating realistic timelines, tracking progress with precision, and driving teams toward delivery. You know how to balance moving fast with maintaining quality, and you're comfortable making tough prioritization calls when resources are constrained.
You have deep experience with agile methodologies. You've run scrum teams, managed sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions, facilitated retrospectives that drive meaningful improvements, and used tools like Jira, Linear, Asana, or Notion to manage complex projects.
You're a phenomenal communicator. You can translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for engineers. You write clear, concise documentation. You run efficient meetings that people actually want to attend. You communicate proactively, escalate issues early, and ensure everyone has the information they need to do their best work.
Bonus Points
Experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries is a significant advantage. If you understand the unique challenges of building products in compliance-heavy environments, managing integrations with banking infrastructure, or navigating regulatory requirements, you'll hit the ground running.
Experience with trading systems, market infrastructure, or real-time financial data would be particularly valuable given the nature of bond markets and the technical complexity of price discovery and order execution.
Personal Qualities
You have an ownership mindset. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion. You care deeply about the team's success and take pride in enabling others to do their best work.
You're structured but flexible. You bring discipline and process where it's needed, but you're not dogmatic. You understand that early-stage companies require adaptability and that perfect process can be the enemy of progress.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. We're building something new in a rapidly evolving market. Requirements change, priorities shift, and new information emerges constantly. You thrive in this environment rather than being paralyzed by it.
You have high standards for quality, communication, and execution, and you inspire those standards in others without being difficult to work with.
Why Join BondScanner
This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage, mission-driven fintech at a pivotal moment. You'll have significant impact and ownership, working directly with founders and shaping the operational DNA of the company. You'll gain deep exposure to capital markets, fintech infrastructure, and regulatory technology while building something that democratizes wealth creation for millions of Indians.
You'll work with a small, talented team that values excellence, ownership, and building for the long term. And you'll do all of this in a remote-first environment that respects your time and trusts you to do your best work.

If this role resonates with you and you're excited about building India's most trusted fixed-income platform, we'd love to hear from you.
