Position Overview
The E-Commerce Analyst plays a critical role in protecting and advancing Walker Tape®'s brand presence across the rapidly evolving global digital marketplace. This strategic position combines brand protection expertise with marketplace management skills to safeguard our intellectual property while driving e-commerce growth and revenue.
In today's digital economy, brand integrity and marketplace presence are inseparable from business success. As our E-Commerce Analyst, you will serve as the guardian of Walker Tape® and Fearless Tape® brands across major global platforms, ensuring that customers encounter only authentic products and authorized sellers. Simultaneously, you'll optimize our official storefronts and product listings to maximize visibility, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
This role requires a unique blend of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strategic vision. You'll monitor sophisticated global marketplaces for counterfeit activity, enforce intellectual property rights through platform-specific programs, and maintain pricing and brand compliance standards. Working collaboratively with marketing, operations, legal, and customer service teams, you'll create systems and strategies that protect our reputation while expanding our digital footprint.
The ideal candidate combines technical marketplace expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for brand integrity. You'll need to think like both a detective—identifying threats and unauthorized activity—and a strategist—building scalable systems for growth and protection.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Protection and IP Enforcement
Monitor and Detect: Continuously monitor major global e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Walmart, Alibaba, AliExpress, SHEIN, Flipkart, Mercado Libre, and emerging marketplaces for counterfeit products, unauthorized listings, and intellectual property violations affecting Walker Tape® and Fearless Tape® brands.
Enforcement Actions: File, track, and manage takedown requests using each platform's Brand Registry, IP enforcement programs, and reporting mechanisms. Maintain detailed records of all enforcement actions and outcomes to identify patterns and measure effectiveness.
System Development: Design and implement internal tracking systems and reporting dashboards that provide visibility into counterfeit activity by region, product line, platform, and seller. Create metrics that enable leadership to understand threats and measure protection program success.
Legal Collaboration: Work closely with legal counsel to protect trademarks, copyrights, patents, and overall brand integrity. Provide documentation and evidence for legal actions when necessary, and stay informed about evolving IP protection laws across jurisdictions.
Partner Communication: Engage with authorized distributors, resellers, and platform partners to ensure legitimate listings remain active and compliant while unauthorized sellers are identified and removed. Build relationships that support both growth and protection objectives.
Internal Education: Develop and deliver training programs that educate cross-functional teams about counterfeit threats, brand protection best practices, and the importance of maintaining brand integrity across all channels.
Marketplace Management and Optimization
Storefront Development: Establish, launch, and manage official Walker Tape® and Fearless Tape® storefronts on approved platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and other strategic marketplaces. Ensure storefronts reflect brand identity and provide excellent customer experiences.
Content Optimization: Create compelling, SEO-optimized product listings that include detailed descriptions, high-quality imagery, enhanced brand content (A+ Content), and all necessary product information. Continuously test and refine content to improve search visibility and conversion rates.
Reseller Management: Manage relationships with authorized resellers to ensure they maintain pricing guidelines, use approved content and imagery, maintain accurate inventory levels, and represent the brand appropriately.
Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, traffic patterns, conversion metrics, and customer feedback across all platforms to identify growth opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Generate regular reports that inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns, operations teams on inventory and fulfillment, and customer service teams on issue resolution. Ensure seamless integration of e-commerce activities with broader business objectives.
Technology Implementation: Deploy and manage tools, software platforms, and dashboards that streamline marketplace management, automate monitoring, and provide real-time visibility into performance metrics and brand compliance across all channels.
