About the Role
We are actively seeking an exceptionally talented and highly experienced Oracle ERP Fusion Cloud – Sr Principal IT Applications Specialist to join our dynamic global IT team. This is a strategic, senior-level individual contributor position that plays a pivotal role in architecting, enhancing, optimizing, and supporting our sophisticated global Finance systems landscape.
This position represents a unique opportunity for a seasoned Oracle Fusion professional to make a substantial impact on our enterprise-wide financial technology infrastructure. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing scalable, innovative solutions that directly support our operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable our continued global growth trajectory.
As a Sr Principal IT Applications Specialist, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and solution architect, partnering closely with Finance leadership, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions, driving process automation, and ensuring our finance systems ecosystem remains robust, efficient, and future-ready.
This role requires someone who can think strategically while maintaining hands-on technical capabilities, someone who thrives in a fast-paced global environment, and someone who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real business challenges. You'll have the autonomy to drive initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to the digital transformation of our finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Architecture & Design
You will design and continuously evolve our comprehensive end-to-end finance systems architecture, spanning critical business processes including Record-to-Report (R2R), Source-to-Pay (S2P), Treasury Management, Tax Compliance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Management Reporting. Your architectural vision will ensure these systems work seamlessly together while maintaining scalability, security, and performance.
Oracle Fusion Finance Expertise
Leverage your deep, hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion Finance modules to optimize our technology stack. You will work extensively with General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Purchasing (PO), Accounts Payable (AP), Tax, and Intercompany Operations (ICO). Your mastery of these modules will be essential in configuring, customizing, and troubleshooting complex scenarios.
Implementation & Enhancement Leadership
Support and lead strategic implementations and enhancements of Oracle Fusion ERP systems, including sophisticated integrations with Finance boundary applications. You will manage the full implementation lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Solution Architecture
Architect both functional and technical solutions across all major finance business processes: Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury Operations, Intercompany Transactions, and Tax Management. Your solutions will balance business needs with technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
Financial Reporting & Analytics
Design, architect, and develop comprehensive financial and operational reporting solutions using Oracle's reporting stack, including Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Financial Reporting (FR), and Narrative Reporting. Your reporting solutions will provide actionable insights to finance and executive leadership.
Integration Architecture
Support complex integrations and data flows between Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and downstream analytics and reporting platforms. You will work with integration teams to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across the entire finance technology ecosystem.
Emerging Technologies
Leverage your experience with Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) to create custom applications and extensions. Additionally, explore opportunities to build AI Agents using Oracle Agent Studio and leverage artificial intelligence platforms to create intelligent assistants that enhance productivity and decision-making for finance teams.
Process Optimization & Future-State Design
Drive future-state design initiatives by conducting thorough assessments of current processes, identifying optimization opportunities, and defining scalable, automated solutions that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. You will be a champion of continuous improvement and digital transformation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate effectively with integration teams on designing scalable data flows, system mappings, and API-led integration architectures. Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable functional and technical solution designs. Partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with company goals, including financial close acceleration, regulatory compliance, and financial planning readiness.
Compliance & Audit Support
Support statutory reporting requirements for international entities and ensure our systems accommodate multi-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) requirements. Provide expert support during internal and external audits for Oracle and boundary systems, managing relationships with business stakeholders and audit teams to ensure successful audit outcomes.
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues in existing customizations, extensions, and configurations. Provide expert-level support for new enhancements, system upgrades, and troubleshooting assistance. Serve as an escalation point for challenging technical problems.
Strategic Contribution
Contribute to overall project strategy and partner with the broader IT team to create, refine, and improve methodologies, best practices, and standards for Oracle Fusion implementations and ongoing support.
Required Experience and Skills
Experience Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in architecting, developing, implementing, integrating, and/or administering Oracle Fusion Finance Cloud applications
- Demonstrated track record of successful Oracle Fusion implementations and support in enterprise environments
- Experience working in global organizations with complex financial structures
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Fusion Finance modules: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Operations, Treasury, Cash Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and Tax
- Database and query expertise: Proficient with relational databases and query tools including SQL Developer and TOAD
- Advanced technical skills: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), XML, Workflow configurations, Approval Management Extensions (AME), system customization, and personalization
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with Oracle Agent Studio and AI platform integration is a plus
