The Opportunity: Product Leader - Data Analytics
We are seeking an exceptional Product Leader - Data Analytics to join our Mumbai team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare analytics in India. This strategic leadership position focuses on building and executing our go-to-market proposition for data analytics through Aon's innovative suite of tools, including Self-Serve platforms, Health Risk Assessments (HRA), and comprehensive Benchmarking solutions.
As a Product Leader, you will interface directly with clients and colleagues to develop compelling value propositions, working closely with regional Analytics teams and Account & Broking Services (ABS) teams to execute our India analytics delivery strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in the healthcare benefits space while developing colleague capabilities and identifying transformative trends in the market.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Analytics Excellence
Strategic Product Development & Execution
The Product Leader will support the business leader in executing the comprehensive strategy for Data Analytics across the Health Solutions division. You will be responsible for supporting the development of Aon's benefits advisory services through our cutting-edge analytics products, including Pulse, HRA, Explorer, Self-Serve, and emerging tools. This role carries key responsibility for the successful rollout of these products and driving adoption across client-facing teams.
Product Proposition & Operational Excellence
You will work to build robust product propositions, ensuring the optimal mix of benefits and claims data to deliver maximum client value. Collaboration with the ABS team on operational execution will be critical to success. Your expertise will help refine data collection methodologies, enhance analytics capabilities, and ensure seamless integration of insights into client decision-making processes.

Client Partnership & Long-Term Value Creation
Working with all large clients, you will support long-term cost management initiatives by forecasting medium- and long-term health costs and pinpointing underlying claims trends. Your analytical insights will be instrumental in helping clients understand their risk profiles and optimize their benefits strategies. You will be a key participant in large client renewal discussions, bringing data-driven perspectives that strengthen relationships and demonstrate value.
Risk Mitigation & Strategic Advisory
Collaboration with Health Risk Management teams will be essential as you support clients in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations will help clients navigate the evolving healthcare landscape, from emerging health trends to regulatory changes impacting benefits programs.
Thought Leadership & Market Insights
You will be responsible for generating significant thought leadership content, creating data-based analytical trends presentations that position Aon as the industry's insights leader. This includes developing white papers, conducting webinars, presenting at industry conferences, and creating compelling content that demonstrates the power of data-driven decision-making in employee benefits.
Monetization Strategy & Commercial Development
A critical aspect of this role involves developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for monetizing data products. You will identify new revenue opportunities, create pricing models, develop go-to-market strategies, and work cross-functionally to ensure our analytics offerings deliver both client value and business growth.
Required Skills & Competencies: The Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical Expertise & Domain Knowledge
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in health underwriting combined with formal health actuarial training and strong statistical skills. Deep proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint is essential, as these tools form the foundation of our analytics deliverables and client presentations. Your technical expertise should encompass advanced statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data visualization techniques.
Communication & Consulting Excellence
Strong communication, presentation, consultative selling, advising, and negotiation skills are paramount. You must be able to distill complex analytical concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, from technical specialists to C-suite executives. Industry Knowledge & Market Awareness
A solid technical understanding of the insurance benefits market for health, life, and accident benefits in India is required, complemented by knowledge of international trends. Education & Experience Requirements
Educational Background
- MBA, MCA, or Post Graduate Diploma in Business preferred
- B.Tech, BBA, or BA Commerce with additional 10+ years of relevant experience in the insurance field
- Certifications in Data Analytics and Insurance are highly desirable and will strengthen your application
Professional Experience
Required: 10-15 Years of Progressive Experience in data analytics, health insurance, employee benefits, or related fields. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in:
- Leading data analytics initiatives in the healthcare or insurance sector
- Developing and launching analytics products or platforms
- Managing client relationships and driving business development
- Building and mentoring high-performing teams
