Jubilant Biosys is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our dynamic DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) department in Bengaluru. This critical position provides bioanalytical and pharmacokinetic support that is essential to the success of our global drug discovery programs. You will be at the forefront of preclinical development, ensuring the timely and accurate assessment of novel compounds. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply advanced analytical techniques within a fast-paced, integrated research environment.

Your Core Role & Technical Responsibilities 🧪

As a Research Associate, your expertise will bridge drug metabolism studies and advanced mass spectrometry. Your primary focus will be to develop, validate, and execute robust bioanalytical methods for the quantification of drugs and metabolites in various biological matrices (plasma, tissue, urine, etc.).

Key responsibilities include:

Method Development & Analysis: Independently develop, optimise, and troubleshoot bioanalytical methods primarily utilising High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS) and Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (TQ MSMS) platforms to achieve high sensitivity and throughput.

High Throughput Workflow: Establish and implement high-throughput bioanalytical workflows, including the meticulous writing and reviewing of protocols for automated liquid handlers to ensure efficiency and reproducibility.

Study Execution: Provide comprehensive bioanalytical support for Pharmacokinetic (PK) and Toxicokinetic (TK) studies, ensuring method suitability and regulatory compliance where necessary.

Problem-Solving: Proactively contribute towards troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex bioanalytical challenges encountered during preclinical sample analysis.

Quality & Compliance: Maintain the bioanalytical lab in strict order, adhering to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards, ensuring instrument calibration, and meticulously maintaining Lab Notebooks and official SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Collaboration, Data & Impact 🤝

This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will be the analytical link between various scientific teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage proactively with the broader ADME team for efficient work scheduling and ensure data delivery is achieved within the agreed TAT (Turnaround Time). Interact with internal and external cross-functional teams to provide essential bioanalytical insights that directly contribute to the progression of drug candidates.

Data Management & Reporting: Take full ownership of data generation, compilation, and formal report preparation. You will be responsible for preparing regular, concise project updates to share with the DMPK team management.

Scientific Contribution: Utilise your understanding of the fully integrated ADME-Bioanalysis workflow to enhance project decision-making, ensuring the seamless transition of compounds through the discovery pipeline.
